General Internal Medicine Faculty: Internal Medicine/Primary Care Providers
The Division of General Internal Medicine, within the Department of Medicine at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School seeks qualified candidates at the Assistant/Associate Professor level, in the areas of Inpatient teaching service and Outpatient Primary Care. The Division is interested in individuals that are self-motivated, passionate, and committed to achieving high quality clinical care and academic excellence.
The Division includes the Sections of Med- Peds and Primary Care, and participates in the inpatient and outpatient education of medical students and residents. Our goal is to strengthen and expand our transitions of care processes and primary care reach, while maintaining a strong educational core and an unwavering dedication to the health and wellness of the community.

Minimum Education and Experience
The successful candidates must have demonstrated ability to work within a healthcare team and collaborate to achieve clinical care goals. Candidates with an interest in and experience with chronic care models and care coordination of complex patients in various settings will receive priority consideration. Candidates must have an MD degree, be licensed in New Jersey, and be board certified in Internal Medicine. Rank and salary commensurate with experience.

Immunization Requirements

Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Additional infection control and safety policies may apply. Prospective employees should speak with their hiring manager to determine which policies apply to the role or position for which they are applying.
