Overview
Department of Communication Studies and Philosophy, College of Humanities and Social Sciences. Entry-level Assistant Professor (Philosophy).

Responsibilities
Successful candidate for this position will: Teach fall and spring courses in philosophy including Environmental Ethics, Philosophy of Religion, and Political Philosophy; engage in research and general scholarship, whether professional or public-oriented, on subjects of political philosophy, epistemology, normative ethics, and philosophy or religion; engage in service at the university, in the community, and in academic philosophy.

Qualifications
Candidates must have: a doctorate in Philosophy; specialization in ethics or social and political philosophy; demonstrated effectiveness in teaching.

Preferred qualifications include: active interest in publicly engaged philosophy; dedication to teaching a wide range of students; demonstrated commitment to student success; particular focus on supporting the access mission of a land-grant institution.
