Position Summary:

The MA in Mental Health Counseling (MHC) Program at Yeshiva University's Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology seeks to hire a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor to start Fall 2024. The successful candidate will contribute to graduate training and clinical supervision of graduate students. Strong preference is given to applicants with experience in program administration at the graduate level.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Management of the in-person and online Mental Health Counseling (MHC) programs.
  • Teaching required MHC courses.
  • Academic advising.
  • Duties related to college & program committee assignments.


Experience & Education Background:

  • Record of teaching excellence.
  • Experience in administering counseling programs in both in-person and online formats.
  • Demonstrated scholarly productivity (publications, grants, etc.).
  • PhD (Strong MA/MS candidates will be considered).
  • Licensed (or license eligible) in New York State as a Psychologist or Mental Health Counselor.


Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong track record of active training and clinical involvement.
  • Knowledge of CACREP Standards.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Canvas.
  • Commitment to working in a multicultural setting.

Salary Range:

Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology is located on Yeshiva University's Resnick Campus approximately 7 miles from Manhattan, New York. Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology offers three APA-accredited doctoral programs: Clinical PsyD, School-Clinical Child PsyD and Clinical PhD with an emphasis on Health Psychology, as well as an MA in Mental Health Counseling, MS in Marriage and Family Therapy, and MA in Special Education. The Max and Celia Parnes Family Psychological and Psychoeducational Services Clinic is the training center of the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology and offers low-cost, state-of-the-art mental health services for children, adolescents, adults, couples and families in the Bronx and the Greater New York City area, especially those who cannot otherwise afford or access these services within the community.
