Georgia-Pacific Consumer Manufacturing Group is seeking qualified professionals to consider for a Manufacturing Engineer - Towel role supporting the Dry End Department of the facility as part of our Consumer Products Operation located in Muskogee, OK. The Muskogee facility uses integrated technology to manufacture tissue, towel, and napkin products in a progressive production environment.

The Manufacturing Engineer will be instrumental in optimizing our production processes, improving product quality, and ensuring operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing engineering, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

What You Will Do
* Embrace influential leadership to support the organization while advancing our Principle-Based Management (PBM) culture
* Providing strategic and tactical leadership in the areas of safety, asset reliability, cost optimization, maintenance spending and budget, quality capability, productivity and strategic capital planning and execution
* Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to improve throughput, reduce waste, and enhance product quality
* Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure product specifications are consistently met
* Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime
* Lead and support various engineering projects from concept through implementation, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence
* Utilize data-driven approaches to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions
* Promote and maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety regulations and best practices
* Work closely with other departments including production, logistics, and maintenance to achieve organizational goals
* Create an environment where the team achieves zero incidents in the Environmental, Health and Safety performance metric

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

* Experience working in a manufacturing, pulp/paper, industrial or military environment
* Effective communication, interpersonal skills and ability to work with different teams and departments
* Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
* Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

What Will Put You Ahead

* Bachelor's degree or higher in Operations Management, Engineering, Paper Science or related field
* Experience with SAP
* Experience organizing, scheduling, and executing tasks
* Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies
* Equipment and/or manufacturing systems reliability or maintenance experience
