LinQuest is seeking a Digital Engineering Technical Lead to join our team on site in the Northern Virginia area. An active TS/SCI w/CI poly is required.

Position Summary:

This effort is in direct support of a US Space Industry Prime Partner in the Chantilly, VA area. We are looking for the self-driven, the bold, the passionate Systems Engineers who will join LinQuest on an exciting journey of professional thrill and personal growth as the Team pursues and steps up to strategic Customer Enterprise-level challenges!

This position provides hands-on leadership and guidance within and across LQ Program Systems Engineering (SE) Integrated Team to deliver 100% on-target success of both top-down DE Culture Transformation objectives and hands-on DE taskings. Domain knowledge and executional focus areas include: Space and Ground SE and Lifecycle Management fundamentals; DE/DEE including MBSE foundational principles including processes and standards; [space and ground] mission-, systems-, and lifecycle development phase-tailored applications, tools, techniques of DE/MBSE to deliver and maximize Enterprise-wide efficiency, interconnectivity, and re-use within DEE-centric mission architecture, design data, and organizational knowledge management systems.

This role reports to the LQ Program Leader(s) and is fully empowered to execute critical facets of the contract - including but not limited to: interact with Customer and Stakeholders; develop DE Transformation roadmap and detail action plans; manage strategic and tactical outreach communications in response to Customer's and Stakeholders' needs; develop and monitor direct and indirect DE Transformation performance results and metrics; and maintain vigilance to drive DE Transformation gap closures - as appropriate, early, and timely.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Deliver foundational digital engineering (DE) approaches that ensure the engineering and MS&A processes.
  • Provides technical advice and guidance to senior managers regarding the creation and implementation of new MBSE methods and techniques.


  • Develop and deliver enterprise level digital engineering approaches, and ensure that the models, data, and information to support the development of the space and intelligence architecture, systems, and other acquisitions are accessible, interconnected, and structured in such a way to ensure organizational goals are met or exceeded.
  • The Technical Lead will also ensure that the current systems engineering, and MS&A processes covered in the SOW requirements are maintained.


Required Skills and Experience:



  • Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 10+ years of experience.
  • Deep understanding of systems engineering, and an expert in Digital Engineering (DE)/Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • Excellent understanding of data science concepts and technologies such as relational and non-relational databases, ontology, Unified Modeling Language (UML) or Systems Modeling Language (SysML).
  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with teammates and stakeholders.
  • OCSMP SysML Model Builder Intermediate certification.
  • The ability to work in a secure, confined location (i.e., SCIF)
  • An active TS/SCI with CI Poly is required to be considered for this position.


Preferred Skills and Experience



  • OCSMP Certification Level 4 (Advanced) is desired
  • General understanding of digital industry trends such as, Cloud/IaC, Data Analytics, DevSecOps, AWS and/or Azure, Containerization/micro-services
  • Knowledge of developing satellite and other space-based technologies
  • Knowledge of Operations Research/Systems Analysis
  • Ability to mentor and train fellow systems engineers
