Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion: At Corewell Health, we treat cancer using the latest technologies and treatments including gene sequencing of tumors, targeted therapy and advanced oncology surgery techniques. We use a team approach to care, bringing together different areas of expertise that specialize in your particular type of cancer. Bone and Marrow Transplantation: Corewell Health has the only Adult Blood and Marrow Transplant (BMT) Program in West Michigan. We provide marrow, peripheral stem cell and umbilical cord blood transplants for cancerous and noncancerous conditions. Our highly specialized multidisciplinary team brings a wealth of expertise and knowledge in various areas to provide care before, during and after transplant. Our Adult BMT Program is just one of four in the state, and is accredited by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT), which demonstrates our commitment to quality and excellence in patient care and laboratory practices. We are proud to offer you a full continuum of transplant care, which allows you and your family to stay closer to home throughout treatment. Children and teenagers receive blood and marrow transplant through our Pediatric Blood and Marrow Program at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital. Provides leadership for all Pharmacy clinical activities within assigned area. Embraces the goals/objectives encompassing Pharmaceutical activities. Promotes team efforts with pharmacy and non-pharmacy personnel to manage and achieve departmental/corporate objectives. Provides support for staff development so that staff meets/exceeds minimum competency standards and encourages/supports staff to continue professional development. Demonstrates good judgment and decisiveness throughout daily activities. Maintains knowledge of current pharmaceutical practice and demonstrates a personal commitment to professional growth. Serves as role model of clinical excellence to staff pharmacists. Supports management by providing oversight, guidance and support for all assigned areas. Participates in the planning, organization, implementation and follow up of new programs and activities. A key role of the Clinical Pharmacy Specialist is to promote safe, appropriate, and cost effective medication therapy.
