Company Overview

By Light is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect. Our team directly supports the DOD Persistent Cyber Training Environment (PCTE) to build and update Cyber Range software. The Solutions Architect will work with the product owner and technical subject matter experts to generate solutions that align with the program's priorities and will ensure the successful delivery of technical requirements. This role requires a thorough understanding of both technology and corporate strategic objectives that will contribute to the growth of existing products and development of new products.



Responsibilities

    Identify and understand the customer needs, perform analysis and develop a solution to meet requirements, while identifying risks and opportunities
  • Lead the development and demonstration of solutions aligned with strategic business objectives
  • Identify, establish and use important customer relationships with senior-level officials and program stakeholders within the DoD to understand current and emerging customer needs and requirements to achieve maximum customer and market penetration
  • Provide comprehensive expertise in offensive cyberspace operations, research, and analysis in order to establish the foundation for required DCO and OCO capability and architecture development, capability gaps and propose solutions


Required Experience/Qualifications

  • Must possess a strong knowledge of DCO and OCO concepts, tactics, techniques, procedures, and technologies
  • Must be knowledgeable in cyberspace doctrine, policy, and regulations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; experience presenting to senior executives, peers, and customers
  • Familiarity with Scrum and agile software development practices
  • Experience with container technologies, using tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
  • Experience with deploying software and pipelines on multiple cloud platforms
  • Experience incorporating AI into software
  • Knowledge of secure configuration management techniques (e.g., STIGs) and secure software development and deployment practices
  • Experience managing contracts, budgets and personnel
  • 15 years experience in cyber security, engineering and software development
  • 15 years experience working in the government space
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical abilities
  • Strong leadership qualities, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills


Special Requirements/Security Clearance

  • Active Secret security clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience

  • 8570 IAT Level II certification or able to obtain certifications within 6 months

  • Up to 20-40% travel
