Responsibilities

As a Technical Leader and Chief Engineer, you'll drive the execution of the Command Staff Training Environment focus area-a critical component of the US Army's training system modernization effort. Your responsibilities include developing software simulations for military operational environments, integrating game engine technologies, and creating web applications to support training systems. Operating in a rapid-paced Agile DEVSECOPS environment, you'll collaborate with program management, the Chief Architect, finance, Product Owners, peer Chief Engineers, and government customers. Your primary focus will be managing the day-to-day activities of the Command Staff Training Environment team, aligning with the Chief Architect's technical vision. This role also involves managerial and supervisory duties.



Required Experience/Qualifications

    15 years of experience designing, developing, and producing software-centric systems for large-scale simulation systems.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing multi-person teams in system design, implementation, and testing for end-user deployment.
  • Competence in system analysis, design, performance analysis, configuration, and code management.
  • Familiarity with industry software development standards/methodologies and Department of Defense tactical/operational software systems.
  • Advantageous: Agile development experience in a DEVSECOPS environment.


Special Requirements/Security Clearance

  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a secret security clearance.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • This is an in-office position with ability for intermittent remote work.
