Job Summary:

Responsible for direct patient care by reviewing patient's medical history while collecting, prioritizing, and synthesizing comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Provide immediate decision-making and action necessary to prevent death or any further disability both in the prehospital setting by directing emergency medical technicians and in the emergency department. Provides immediate recognition, evaluation, care, stabilization, and disposition of a generally diversified population of adult and pediatric patients in response to acute illness and injury.

Job Description:

Job Requirements
  • MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training is required.
  • Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited residency training program in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine with Emergency Medicine Experience
  • Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain)
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI)
  • Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges, if applicable
  • ACLS/BLS - required within 180 days of hire
  • ATLS or CALS
  • PALS - Pediatric Advance Life Support - Multisource required
