The successful candidate:

Hours: Part-time, Flexible hours.

This position is mostly remote; however onsite attendance will be required on occasions.

Registered Nurses (RN) with stem cell experience are welcome to apply.

The Data Management Specialist provides essential support for the stem cell transplant and cellular therapy program by completing patient-specific report forms with the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR). This role also involves providing data management support for clinical trials within the program, maintaining accountability for data submission, and assisting with the maintenance of patient and National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) donor databases. The specialist will also support internal and external audits to ensure the integrity of submitted data. This position reports to the Quality Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete patient-specific report forms with CIBMTR.

  • Provide data management support for clinical trials within the program.

  • Maintain accountability for data submission.

  • Assist with maintaining patient and NMDP donor databases.

  • Support internal and external audits to ensure data integrity.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required, with a concentration in nursing or allied health preferred.

  • Two or more years of experience in hematology, oncology, or stem cell transplant data management preferred.

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to analyze data using graphs.

  • Strong qualitative skills and knowledge of medical terminology.

  • Ability to extract data from electronic health records.

  • Experience with cancer clinical trials at a research institute and/or pharmaceutical company preferred.
