Job Summary

The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine is currently seeking a Ultrasound Technician (Per-Diem) to join our team of professionals.

Duties include:

Provides guidance, operation, and instruction to medical students on the principles and techniques of ultrasound imaging using ultrasound technology.

Collaborates with faculty members during ultrasound training sessions, helping to demonstrate proper techniques, and troubleshooting technical issues.

Assists in the enhancement of ultrasound curriculum, ensuring it aligns with educational objectives and best practices.

Maintains and monitors the quality of ultrasound training sessions to ensure students receive a high standard of education.

Manages and organizes ultrasound equipment and supplies, ensuring their availability and functionality for training sessions.

Maintains accurate records of student performance, training sessions, and equipment maintenance activities.

Stays current with advancements in ultrasound technology and teaching methodologies, participating in relevant training and workshops.

Operates ultrasound equipment.

Supports/assists in simulations to create a virtual healthcare setting.

Assists Simulation Specialists and faculty in the use of ultrasound technology for live and simulated teaching activities.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
