The Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist Specialist is a licensed pharmacist responsible for applying knowledge, skill, competence, and clinical expertise in our intensive care arena. The clinical pharmacist will work with the surgical ICU team to provide direct patient care services including the safe and cost-effective use of medications. The roles of this clinical pharmacist are that of advanced practitioner, educator, consultant, leader, and researcher.

The Clinical Pharmacist Specialist applies his/her knowledge of, and clinical training in, pharmacotherapy to directly influence and impact physician prescribing to improve the use of medications throughout the Health System and to enhance positive drug therapy outcomes. ystem.


QUALIFICATIONS





    • Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited school of Pharmacy
    • ASHP-accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency and PGY-2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency (or five (5) years post PGY-1 residency experience)
    • Board Certification in Critical Care Disease preferred
    • Fully licensed as a Pharmacist in the State of Georgia or eligible for full licensure within 120 days through reciprocity or exam
