Location: Remote, USA- preference for Central time zone

The ALM Sales Specialist, Automotive OEM will be a critical part of the ALM solutions sales team providing a laser focus on the automotive industry.They will develop and execute strategic plans to penetrate the automotive ecosystem while collaborating closely with sales, engineering, and product teams to manage the software lifecycle from inception to deployment.They will also advise on best practices for ALM within the automotive context, ensuring seamless integration of PTC's Codebeamer solution.

Primary Functions

Relationship Building and Key Account Management:
  • Cultivate and expand relationships with key stakeholders at major automotive OEMs.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide comprehensive solutions that address the entire automotive value chain.

Sales Strategy and Execution:
  • Participate in the overall sales strategy for ALM solutions within the automotive sector.

  • Oversee the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to deal closure, ensuring alignment with OEMs' business objectives.

Market Expertise and Competitive Landscape Analysis:
  • Understand the competitive landscape specific to automotive ALM solutions.

  • Familiarity with other competitive ALM tools used by automotive OEMs and suppliers, including IBM Rational DOORS, Jira Align, Polarion, Microsoft Azure DevOps, Helix RM which supports traceability, change management, reporting, review, and approval processes.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience leveraging deep knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) or similar enterprise level applications to enable digital transformation with major automotive OEM's

  • Strong understanding of Top 3 Automotive OEM's, automotive ecosystem and extended supply chain partners

  • 10+ years overall experience in enterprise software sales or consulting

  • Proven success in the discrete manufacturing industry, specifically automotive.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

PTC carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, which include a candidate's background and experience, in determining salary for a position. Compensation will vary based on these factors, but PTC anticipates the salary range for this position to be between $150,000 - $240,000. The actual pay may be lower or higher depending on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location and may also include the opportunity to earn a discretionary bonus. Additionally, every PTC employee has the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program which allows employees to purchase discounted PTC stock and, for eligible roles, an equity grant. Subject to the terms and conditions of PTC's benefits programs, employees may be eligible for medical, dental and vision insurance, paid time off and sick leave policies, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) contributions and employer match, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability coverage and a generous commuter subsidy.
