Responsibilities The Pediatric Wound Care Program Manager is a Certified Wound and Ostomy nurse with responsibility for the operation and growth of the Pediatric Wound Care service line. The Pediatric Wound Care Program Mgr focuses on safe effective patient and family centered care, customer satisfaction and quality outcomes. The Pediatric Wound Care Program Manager promotes self and staff development with an emphasis on evidence based practice and education supported by a Practice Governance framework. The Pediatric Wound Care Program Manager assesses patient populations served developing and monitoring programs to ensure highest quality outcomes are achieved for the patients served. Populations served could be any population along the continuum of care from wellness to illness, outpatient to inpatient etc. Collaborates with team ensuring proper care when population care requires direct care delivery. Provision of direct patient care in concert with professional Nursing staff. The Pediatric Wound Care Program Manager ensures that the Swanson Theory of Caring and patient/family centered care are the foundation for nursing practice and that staff at all levels are involved in allocation of resources, interdisciplinary activities and collaboration.
