The Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy ( EMSOP) is recognized on all levels, local, state, national, and international, as providing one of the most challenging, dynamic, and satisfying Programs of Study leading to the Doctor of Pharmacy degree. In concert with supportive faculty and staff, students at the School build a foundation for learning that continues long after graduation. The Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administration focuses on the clinical and regulatory aspects of pharmacy practice. The mission of the Department is to prepare students to provide pharmaceutical care in its varied practice settings. Graduating students are equipped with the necessary skills to adapt to a changing healthcare environment. Students are also provided with scientific fundamentals, ethics, and attitudes necessary to adapt their careers to changes in healthcare over their lifetime. This mission supports the overall mission of the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy in four critical areas: teaching, practice, scholarship, and service.
ID Care, LLC is the largest, private, independent infectious disease group practice on the East Coast and the second largest in the United States. ID Care is New Jersey's largest network of board-certified infectious disease physicians providing inpatient and outpatient care, servicing over 170 acute care hospitals and health care facilities and providing ambulatory care in 10 office locations. ID Care focuses on the prevention, diagnosis and management of infectious disease through excellent patient care and clinical research, and partnerships with health care systems and health departments for infection prevention, epidemiology and antibiotic stewardship.
The "shared" faculty member would jointly support the teaching mission of the school of pharmacy by providing didactic on campus when scheduled and clinical training and education of students as well ID Care to provide on-site (at ID Care administrative headquarters in Hillsborough, NJ) and virtual support for the entire ID Care organization which spans ten offices throughout the state of New Jersey. The faculty member will support services for ID Care management and its operational team and have an active role in practice business operations, quality management, teaching and education, policy and protocol development, and research compliance and execution. Primary responsibilities for the private practice setting include pharmaceutical expertise to support clinical operations (ambulatory service lines including outpatient practice,
vaccines, infusion services, wound care, travel medicine, and inpatient consultative service) and clinical outpatient research activities.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
* Applicants must have a Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy and completion of a postgraduate residency of infectious disease pharmacy fellowship training (preferred) or at least two years of residency training or equivalent experience
Certifications/Licenses
* Applicants must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of New Jersey
* Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties ( BCPS), or other relevant board certification, is expected within two years of hire
