POSITION TITLE: Maintenance Planner

SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Planner reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. The role of the Maintenance Planner is to improve work force productivity and work quality of the Maintenance Team by anticipating and eliminating potential equipment delays through planning and coordination of labor, parts and material, and equipment access. Supports Andersen Corporation values and integrity in all plant activities. Promotes an environment for open and timely communication and actively enlists input from others and responds to others respectfully.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Kitting of parts for planned work orders as required.
  • Schedule all planned preventative maintenance and work order jobs and maintain records in EAM system.
  • Plan all routine work for the mechanics. Add comments and review parts to be able to accomplish the work.
  • Coordinate and assist in scheduling technicians on projects.
  • Partner with Production Planners to ensure maintenance activities are scheduled in harmony with manufacturing schedules.
  • Review and update PM tasks as needed to ensure they are thorough and accurate.
  • Prepare work schedules and mechanic duty assignments as required to support the maintenance program and the requirements of production.
  • Evaluate, prioritize, and schedule maintenance repair requests to ensure timely completion of repair actions.
  • Follow up with mechanics on work assigned to understand any areas of improvement.
  • Attend daily Production Tier 2 meetings to assist with maintenance support and report back to supervisor with meeting issues and concerns.
  • Assist with daily operational support as needed when the Maintenance Supervisor is unavailable.
  • Ensure all paperwork and forms are filled out correctly and audit ready. Filing of all documentation, to include purchase orders, PM reports, etc.
  • Data entry of information for management reports and KPI scorecards.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Support all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs, policies, and regulations.
  • Wearing of all PPE including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, head protection, face protection, all when/as needed according to company/plant policies.
  • Reporting of any/all unsafe conditions/acts or potentials to management and address it immediately.
  • Successfully complete all required safety training programs while executing and adhering to the practices learned.




MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:


  • High School Diploma/GED and 3+ plus years of maintenance or planning/scheduling experience from manufacturing/production
  • Strong understanding of maintenance or mechanical aptitude is required
  • Understanding of maintenance and reliability performance metrics
  • Must have the ability to run various computer applications that apply to the department and business to an acceptable degree, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Products and EAM.
  • Must be able to do mathematical calculations.
  • On occasion, business demands may require some employees to work overtime. When overtime is required, employees are expected to work extra hours as required to meet business needs - this is a requirement of this position.

In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
