The primary responsibility of the Advisor and Academic Services Coordinator is to advise prospective and current students; recruit new students; process correspondence and course registration; oversee admission decisions and processes; manage graduation requirements for all students; and to grow and maintain the program site in a sound and sustainable way. Primary duties include, but are not limited to: advising graduate domestic and international students throughout their program until graduation, making admissions decisions, handling all graduation checks, recruiting new students, maximizing session enrollment, ensuring smooth operation of the site office as a full-service student interface, supporting applicants, and communicating with staff and faculty to assist with student success. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
