The Maintenance Manager serves as the Building Executive for all Parking facilities and is on call for all emergencies that may arise twenty-four hours, seven days a week. This position oversees and coordinates maintenance of all campus parking facilities, signs, and equipment; ensures that all facility equipment is maintained, i.e. lights, parking control equipment, elevator equipment, sump pumps, fire alarms, etc.; oversees the collection and transportation of meter revenues; attends meetings to coordinate campus construction projects in cooperation with Facilities Management to reduce the impact the project will have on the parking for students, faculty and staff. The Maintenance Manager determines if any on-site parking can be provided for construction projects; works with Facilities Management Job Coordinators, contractors and subs, overseeing departmental maintenance and construction projects; obtains project bids and makes recommendations to the Director on construction plans, costs, cost containment, and maintenance methods. This position is responsible to keep operations within the approved budget and performs yearly inventory and approves the disposal of unserviceable equipment and electronics.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. Minimum Qualifications * The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in business, management or education from an accredited institution of higher education * At least two years of experience in inventory control or a related field, including one year in a supervisory capacity Preferred Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in engineering or human resources * Advanced specialized or technical training * At least two years of experience in parking lot maintenance, construction coordination, and campus parking Knowledge, Skills & Abilities * Knowledge of parking facility construction and maintenance, supervision techniques, and the campus budget process * Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, supervise staff and unit budget. |
