Pharmacy Supervisor - Informatics and Automation

General Summary of Position

We are actively recruiting for a Pharmacy Supervisor - Informatics and Automation to join our team at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center in Olney, MD.

The Pharmacy Supervisor of Automation and Informatics provides
direct supervision of pharmacy automation systems to achieve optimal
integration with pharmacy operations in distributive and patient care
activities. This includes oversight of the electronic health record, automated
dispensing cabinets, IV workflow solutions, smart infusion pumps, and RFID kit
and tray management systems.

The Pharmacy Supervisor is responsible for assisting the
Manager/Director in implementing and monitoring programs, personnel, budget and
finance, compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and
regulations, with MMMC policies and procedures, and with professional society
standards (ASHP, USP, TJC, State BOP, etc.) and guidelines. Also, this position
is responsible for providing pharmacy services to patients and staff including
interpretation of physician orders, preparation and dispensing of medications
and IV solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required

Experience

• 3-4 years clinical and/or operational experience in hospital setting required
• Leadership experience preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Maryland Pharmacist license required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external customers.
• Moderate Computer skills to perform prescription entries.
• Experience with computerized Pharmacy information systems
• HIPAA policies on Confidentiality

This position has a hiring range of $118,331 - $230,172
