The starting salary for this position is $60,000 to $80,000 depending on experience The Salvation Army Mission: The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Job Summary/Primary Purpose: The General Manager provides leadership and oversight to the North Corps management and staff in order to implement the vision established by the Corps Officers. Responsible for providing general oversight of the facility and its policies to assure the safety of guests and staff. To support the Corps Officer, create and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement, promotion of best practices and innovation solutions to fulfill and advance the mission of The Salvation Army. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervisory Responsibilities: Program Director. Education and/or Experience: Master's degree in business or equivalent and at least 5 years of related experience in organizational management and leadership. Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position.
Other Qualifications: Must pass all applicable background checks. Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside. Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must successfully complete Safe from Harm training within 90 days of hire, as established by The Salvation Army. Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical requirements include good speaking, hearing and vision. Excellent manual dexterity. Ability to stand, bend and reach for extended periods of time, dexterity of hands and fingers to operate equipment. This position will require the ability to lift and/or move more than 25 pounds occasionally. Working Conditions: The majority of the workday will be in a mixed environment including offices, service counters, and other program spaces. In addition, portions of the primary work facility may be considered humid (natatorium) while other locations (gymnasium) may be considered moderately loud in nature.
