All about the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Functional System Validation Laboratory Specialist to join our team!

As a Functional System Validation Laboratory Specialist, you will be primarily supporting the Electronics & Digital development teams with tasks to deliver functional system validation testing as it relates to cooking appliances. The Functional System Validation Laboratory Specialist will assist the Laboratory Manager in providing technical leadership and expertise across each appliance product line.

What you'll do:

  • Supports functional system validation and connected end-to-end testing following internally generated test procedures, product level specifications, and records the discrepancies in issue tracking software.

  • Generates functional system test logs from standard laboratory templates.

  • Works closely with functional systems/software engineers to prepare test and validation plans/manuals.

  • Responsible for functional system validation team support of flashing electronics controls as needed throughout the R&D community.

  • Works in conjunction with the engineering team to analyze test results and suggest improvements to systems, specifications, and consumer use cases.

  • Responsible for providing support and training on new products to other departments and customers as required.

  • Responsible for the training on new functional system validation team members.

  • Performs special projects as directed by the Lab Manager.

Qualifications and preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in engineering preferred.

  • 1-2 years hands-on experience with Electronics in a lab environment preferred.

  • 1-2 years experience in an industrial R&D environment preferred.

  • Minimum two-year technical degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.

  • Advanced technical knowledge of electrical/electronic functional system in home appliances.

  • Demonstrated proficiency and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

  • Ability to manage stressful situations under workload peaks.

  • Advanced technical knowledge of cooking appliances.
