The Richfield Public School District is currently accepting applications for a full time 12 month Engineer to assume delegated responsibility and accountability for the maintenance and operations of the senior high school HVAC, pneumatic, electrical, and plumbing systems; boilers; pumps; and mechanical equipment related to the steam and hot water heating systems in a manner that helps ensure a safe, secure, and comfortable environment throughout the senior high facility. Requirements: High School or GED equivalent and five years' experience in the operation, repair and maintenance of HVAC, pneumatic, electrical and plumbing systems and related mechanical equipment in a public school comparable to the Richfield senior high school. State of Minnesota Chief Class C boiler licensure is required. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the development and implementation of comprehensive preventive maintenance programs. Sufficient basic knowledge of electricity and plumbing to perform all responsibilities of this position. Demonstrated ability to quickly and correctly diagnose malfunctioning or defective systems or equipment and take the most appropriate corrective actions. Demonstrated strength and stamina to perform all the physical lifting and moving of equipment, materials and supplies as required in this position.
