DevOps Engineering Lead
Vaco is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a leading organization for a Senior DevOps Engineering Lead. This is a full-time, direct hire position with core business hours, requiring 3 days per week onsite in the Greater Boston area. The salary for this role is $140,000 along with a solid benefits package, including:
  • 401(k) match

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and optimization of automated processes to enhance application delivery and system reliability.
  • Spearhead best practices in Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), and infrastructure automation across teams.
  • Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and promoting DevOps best practices.
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment challenges, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
  • Leverage infrastructure as code tools like Terraform to automate deployment of containerized applications.
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to optimize cloud solutions and automate workflows.
  • Identify and implement improvements within existing infrastructure and operational processes.

Desired Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in a DevOps role, with a track record of improving efficiency and delivering Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) solutions.
  • Expertise with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Docker, and Ansible.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms, with a strong preference for Microsoft Azure services, including PaaS and SaaS solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC management software, version control systems like Git, and cloud platforms such as Azure DevOps.
  • Ability to manage Azure networking components, including virtual networks, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs.
  • Familiarity with Azure API Management and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) concepts.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering required; a Master's degree is preferred.
