POSITION TYPE: Seasonal-PT/FT WAGE RANGE: $14.00+ Tips SUPERVISORY: No SUPERVISED BY: Lakeview Lead Cashier/Manager AGE: 19+ POSITION SUMMARY: Cashier at Lakeview Cafe. Scheduled hours are typically between 7:00am and 5:00pm, making this position Shuttle/S.P.O.T bus friendly! Must be available to work holidays and weekends. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This position is responsible for a majority of the front-end operations of the cafe. Duties include, cashiering, monitoring line speed, stocking and inventory of food and beverage product. Maintaining proper inventory and levels of food product. Cash handling and cash register duties. Guest service and keeping the front area clean and stocked. Will assist the rest of the team during slow times and as needed. The typical schedule is 7:00am-5:00pm, though you may be required to work outside these hours depending on business needs. Must be available holidays and weekends. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Combined standing/walking for up to 8 hours per shift. Will stand in place for up to 2-3 hours at a time. Will lift up to 30 lbs. occasionally. Will bend, squat, kneel, climb, twist and reach above shoulder level occasionally. Will use hands for grasping and fine manipulation. Worksite is 99% inside and 1% outside. Exposed to ice/snow coming to and from work. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Must be willing to obtain extensive knowledge of Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities, services and activities. Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in giving directions and answering questions. Performs other duties as assigned. JOB SPECIFICATIONS: SKILLS: Excellent people skills for interacting with guests and employees, ability to meet and greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner EDUCATION: English reading, writing and communication; basic math EXPERIENCE: Cash register system experience helpful LICENSE NEEDED: None MACHINES OR TOOLS OPERATED: Cash register and Squirrel POS ordering system REVIEW SCHEDULE: This position and the person filling it will be evaluated once per season.
