Under the general direction of the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (CHASS) Major Advising Director, this position s responsible for all aspects of the academic advising for undergraduate student majors within the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences. Researches, interprets, applies and clarifies University policy in this area and exercises independent judgment in day-to-day student affairs matters. Uses principles of wholistic and developmental academic advising and knowledge of teaching and learning theory to promote academic, career, and life goals in an effort to support student retention, timeliness to degree, academic success, as well as intellectual and personal development.
The full salary range for the Student Advisor 3 is $56,000.00 - $96,400.00 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time.
