The Credit Bureau Reporting Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate data is furnished to credit bureaus, which includes researching and responding to credit bureau disputes timely, adherence to Metro 2 guidelines, and advanced knowledge of the loan operation functions, including Commercial, Construction, Consumer Loans, and Lines of Credit. The Credit Bureau Reporting Specialist will monitor loans to ensure compliance with CDIA regulations and bank policies and is responsible for working internal and external metric reports to identify root cause for credit reporting discrepancies. Performs other projects and duties as assigned.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

* Responds to all direct and indirect credit disputes with reasonable investigations by due dates.

* Maintains credit reporting logs to ensure compliance with RESPA requirements.

* Monitors metric reports from credit reporting agencies and FIS to ensure credit reporting errors are resolved.

* Communicates with loan officers, department leaders, and teammates to collect needed documentation to support investigations.

* Maintains compliance with internal controls, operational procedures and risk management policies.

* Assists with review and updates to departmental procedures and assist management with process improvements.

* Reviews and maintains various departmental reports in order to identify trends or areas of concern.

* Manages incoming mail and outbound dispute letters.

* Provides assistance and training to loan operations team members.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Self-motivated and strong attention to detail.

* Able to plan, organize and prioritize tasks and meet multiple deadlines.

* Able to analyze and record detailed information and produce accurate, high quality work products.

* Able to research, analyze, identify viable options, draw sound conclusions, and present findings.

* Able to manage and organize a high volume of documents.

* Highly motivated team player with ability to provide interactive service to others, building relationships and addressing identified needs.

* Knowledge of FCRA requirements and CDIA Metro 2 guidelines.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

* Experience in e-Oscar platform.

Industry and Work Experience:

* 2-5 years of Credit Bureau or related consumer financial experience required.

* Experience using relevant banking and document storage software applications preferred.

Academic:

* High school diploma or GED required

* Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred.
