The new Chair also has responsibility for ensuring excellence of the Department of Neuroscience & Experimental Therapeutics' graduate, post-graduate, and medical school's academic and educational missions. Newly recruited faculty, including the Director, will be able to receive joint appointments in an appropriate clinical department to encourage the development of physician-scientist collaborations.
