Our rapidly expanding, nationally recognized cancer institute we seek to hire a full-time Fellowship-trained, Academic Interventional Radiologist for a clinical-research position to join City of Hope's Division of Interventional Radiology. We are seeking research and mission- minded physicians as every discovery we make and every new treatment we create, gives people the chance to live longer, better, and more fully. The position will have up to 40% dedicated research time, with generous academic start up package and support. The IR Division consists of 7 full time faculty between the Duarte and Irvine campuses, 3 advanced practice providers, and a group of highly motivated and efficient nurses and technologists. The IR Division performs the breadth of IR procedures with a primary focus on Interventional Oncology. The Division operates two hospital-based angio suites, a separate outpatient fluoroscopy suite, and an interventional CT scanner at our main campus. Two (2) new additional state of the art Angio suites are currently under construction. This new 16,000 sq ft IR space with a dedicated IR pre-op and PACU is slated to open in 2025. The Division also runs a dedicated IR clinic and full inpatient consult service that is facilitated by IR APPs and support staff. The IR division also staffs the City of Hope Irvine campus that operates a state-of-the-art hybrid CT/Angio suite. Further expansion at our Irvine campus is also planned as part of the City of Hope Orange County Cancer Center that is scheduled to open in 2025. This position is a unique opportunity to be part of a high-level interventional oncology practice and work in a multidisciplinary medical group with an emphasis on collegiality and teamwork. Position Highlights: * 100% IR position, performing the breadth of IR with a focus on Interventional Oncology * Generous research start-up package * Excellent benefits package, including a generous retirement contribution plan * Relocation assistance may be available * Base Salary Range: $510,000 - $580,000 (Assistant Clinical to Clinical Professor levels). The range listed is exclusively for base compensation for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual compensation will be adjusted for experience, training, hospital/community need and other factors. Qualifications Qualifications: * Fellowship/integrated residency training in Interventional Radiology (IR) and current or anticipated board certification in IR are required * Applicants of all academic levels welcome with strong clinical and/or basic science research experience * Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree * Have or eligible to obtain appropriate license to practice * Possession of, or eligibility for, unrestricted medical license in the State of California |
