Hydro Aluminium Metal a leading supplier of extrusion ingots, sheet ingots, foundry alloys, wire rods and high-purity aluminum with a global production network of around 5,000 employees. With primary metal production facilities in Europe, Canada, Australia, Brazil and Qatar, and recycling facilities throughout Europe and in the U.S., two-thirds of our primary aluminum production is based on renewable energy.

Job Summary:

The Payroll, Corporate, and Financial Administrator is responsible for managing the company's payroll processes, handling corporate documentation, and supporting financial operations. The role requires a high level of organization, financial acumen, and attention to detail to ensure compliance with legal regulations and accuracy in financial records.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in administering payroll and corporate administration is required
  • Certification such as CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) is recommended
  • Working knowledge of ADP HRIS system

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook


  • Proficiency in HRIS & Payroll systems, advanced knowledge of payroll management software


  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Results oriented and strong problem-solving skills/analysis
  • Discrete, able to handle confidential and proprietary information appropriately

Job Responsibilities:

Payroll Administration



  • Administer payroll account transactions for Hydro Aluminum Metals USA Commercial & Recycling located in Chicago, Canada, and other Remote Locations (e.g., salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes, and expat tax payments).
  • Ensure compliance with laws & tax obligations by maintaining accurate payroll records.
  • Advise payroll clerks at plant locations.
  • Administers ADP Security Management Services to provide functions to manage users access to ADP Services.
  • Coordinate with company tax services the US tax obligations for Expats.
  • Balances the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies.
  • Reconciliation of 401k & Payroll, coordinate with Benefit Manager for 401k plan audits.
  • Maintains Payroll guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Resolve issues and answer payroll-related questions.
  • Participates in continuing professional education, staying current and competent in the respective field, through seminars, courses, literature review, etc.



Corporate Documentation



  • Manage corporate records, including minutes of meetings, company filings, and regulatory compliance documents. Ensure timely submission of annual reports, tax filings, and other legal documents required by corporate laws and governance standards.
  • Support corporate governance practices by maintaining up-to-date records of shareholders, directors, and key legal entities.
  • Coordinate with legal teams and regulatory authorities to ensure corporate compliance.



Financial Administration



  • Assist in managing company financial transactions, including invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, and expense tracking.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring all data is entered correctly into accounting systems.
  • Support monthly and quarterly financial reporting, including preparing financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports.
  • Assist with audits by preparing financial documentation as needed.
