This part-time Care Coordinator position will not be maintained after the grant end date of June 30, 2026. The person hired into this role will have the opportunity to apply for open positions in the University. The Care Coordinator will oversee the implementation and operations of the Building Family Foundations: Leveling the Field for Student Parents (BFF) grant at Herzing University's Minneapolis campus

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS



  • Associates Degree or two years of equivalent experience working in a higher education setting.
  • Experience with student management systems and/or electronic databases.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

The BFF Care Coordinator position has the general duty of managing the day-to-day goals of the project and to serve as an additional resource for students.



  • Implementation of Grant Initiatives

    • Coordinating on-campus and individual childcare services.
    • Developing a family-friendly study space.
    • Organizing family-oriented student orientations.
    • Outfitting a care closet.


  • Oversee Daily Operations

    • Manage the day-to-day activities of the BFF program.


  • Resource Development and Community Connection

    • Develop and maintain a list of viable resources and supports for parent and parenting students. Build connections and partnership in the community for resource and support.


  • Achieve Grant Goals

    • Track activities and metrics related to grant goals with periodic reports as to goal progress. Develop action plans.


  • Organize Supportive Services

    • Coordinate Jovie services, family events, and access to external support resources.


  • Event Plannng

    • Plan and execute events on campus for students and families of students.


  • Team Collaboration

    • Work with student services advisors, the Project Director, academic leaders, and other university personnel to coordinate and support students.


  • Develop Sustainable Infrastructure

    • Create systems and processes to ensure that the services provided during the grant period can be continued after the grant ends.
