Starting rate of pay: Finisher $30.06 per hour; Shift differential $ 1.30 per hour for working 2nd or 3rd Shift

PTO - 120 hours (3 Weeks)

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Assembler - Tester B position is critical in the manufacturing of quality products that meet customer requirements. This position reports to the Production Supervisor in the assigned work area. An Assembler - Tester B is responsible for performing activities outlined below:

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Valve Assembly, including:

    • Lap valves as needed
    • Mount actuators, fittings and hoses
    • Drill, ream, countersink, bore, spot face and/or tap as needed


  • Inspect and/or test product as required
  • Rework/repair product as directed
  • Disassemble, inspect and/or repair return products as directed



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Preferred background in manufacturing of products.



PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Hand assembly including lapping, drilling, reaming, facing, boring, tapping, etc...
  • Mounting of actuators, fittings and hoses
  • Prolonged standing, reaching, pulling, lifting of valve assembly components
  • Bending, kneeling when loading and unloading valves to the assembly workbench
  • Lifting, twisting and bending to put materials away and moving completing valves
  • Minimal typing/data entry



WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Working conditions consist mainly of work with paint equipment, overhead hoists and active material handling equipment.
  • Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including: respirator, ear plugs, gloves, safety shoes, safety glasses and other PPE depending on the task.
  • Employees are expected to work with all third part visitors (e.g. vendors, inspectors, liaisons, auditors, visitors in a professional manner).
