Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an opportunity for a Lead Packaging and Shipping Specialist in service with the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Lead Packing & Shipping Specialist

Tasks

Knowledge of various items of stock in order to verify content
• Selection of appropriate type and size of container
• Inserting enclosures in container
• Using excelsior or other material to prevent breakage or damage
• Closing and sealing container
• Applying labels or entering identifying data on container
• Operates various types of packaging equipment
• Must be able to read computer screens and use scanning equipment
• Must be able to respond to alarms and alerts
• Maintain work area in clean and orderly manner
• Supervisory tasks include day to day administration of assigned operational area (production floor) and to coordinate activities with other productions areas.
• Orient new contract technicians and assist with the evaluating performance.

Qualifications

• Have three (3) years of managerial experience doing work of a similar nature.
• Have demonstrated experience in directing work assignments for other contractor staff, communication skills and interpersonal skills for effective peer interactions.
• Be able to be cross trained to cover other assigned areas, as needed.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
