POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for overseeing daily operations related to the Ski and Ride School (SRS), including staffing, schedules, inventory, guest surveys and correspondence, SRS resort managers, supervisors and staff. Interacts with guests and other departments on a regular basis. Assist with creating a safe and enjoyable experience for our guests, while helping staff teach children and/or adults how to ski and/or snowboard. Assists with staff training as needed.

This position is located at Snow Summit or Bear Mountain in Big Bear Lake.

Starting wage between $36.00/hr. - $41.44/hr. depending on experience.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Valid California driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to operate equipment as trained
  • Must be an effective communicator who acts as an ambassador of service for the Company internally to staff and externally to guests with respect and maturity
  • Capacity to read, understand, and comply with documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, and guest policies
  • Must provide documentation of current membership status for a PSIA/AASI Level II Ski or Snowboard Certification
  • Completion of the On-Hill Skier and/or Snowboarder Certification, depending on discipline
  • Completion of the required Ski and Ride School training checklist
  • Completion and passing of the discipline appropriate Clearance Card for each level of skill based lessons
  • Strong technical skills needed for accurate daily reporting of Ski and Ride School (SRS) statistics
  • Extensive knowledge of the SRS operations, resort policies/procedures, teaching experience and management skills
  • Able to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays at any of the BBMR resort locations
