What You Will Be Doing

The Information Technology Specialist at ChargePoint is a technical professional role, responsible for managing, maintaining, and implementing a broad range of IT systems, including computer networks, hardware, software, data security, audio-visual engineering, and broadcasting. The IT Specialist will apply their technical expertise to install, configure, and maintain our local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers. They will perform system monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems. The position is also responsible for reviewing system and application logs and verifying completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups. The IT Specialist will analyze network and server resource consumption. They will control user access, manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights. The IT specialist will also install and upgrade software and maintain software licenses. They will ensure exceptional technical connectivity for meetings of internal and external stakeholders, including shareholders and investors.


Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support to users regarding computer usage, software applications and security measures
  • Diagnose and resolve problems related to hardware, software, network connectivity, and user access
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and network devices
  • Implement and maintain data backup procedures to ensure data integrity
  • Monitor systems and hardware to ensure it aligns with industry standards and use of state-of-the-art components
  • Monitor network performance, identifying potential issues, and managing network security using tools such as NetSkope and Crowdstrike
  • Implement and enforce security policies to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access
  • Collaborate with the IT manager, contributing to IT department strategy and operational efficiency
  • Direct and administer IT projects, collaborating with different teams to ensure successful project completion within stipulated timelines and budgets
  • Collaborate on IT projects related to system upgrades, network expansions, and new technology implementations
  • Assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software
  • Subject Matter Expert for the ChargePoint MDM tools, Intune, Kandji, Jumpcloud
  • Help users using remote access software, i.e., Splashtop
  • Administer Jira, Confluence, OpsGenie, Zendesk or other similar tools.
  • Be a backup engineer for the ChargePoint IT cloud, AWS, Azure, and VDI solutions
  • Manage the ChargePoint business applications, Adobe Creative Cloud, AutoCAD, NetSuite, Docusign, Asana, Smartsheet, Smartsheet, Siesmic, LucidChart, Envoy, Outreach, People.ai, Tableau
  • Be point of contact for Teams, Zoom, Slack and other issues.
  • Function as onsite network infrastructure engineer and provide support for the ChargePoint HQ network switching, routing, firewalls, and related protocols.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a role that involves supporting end users, managing townhalls, and resolving various IT and Infosec-related issues.
  • In depth knowledge of OKTA, Office 365, Kandji, Intune, and practices in Asset Management.
  • Experience in managing Crowdstrike, Netskope, and other Information Security tools.
  • Knowledge of Zoom Rooms & Teams Rooms, Webinars.
  • Comfortable mixing for in person & virtual on a digital audio console (Midas, Soundcraft, Allen & Heath)
  • Understanding of Crestron devices / control systems
  • Experience with high density deployment of UHF G50 band and similar wireless transmitters
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot effectively, with a knack for quickly diagnosing and rectifying technical problems.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of breaking down complex technical details for a non-technical audience.
  • Competent in handling multiple tasks at once, with an emphasis on effective prioritization and time management.


Location

Campbell, CA

ChargePoint is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The targeted US salary range for roles at this operating level is $70,000 to $129,000. This range represents base salary and does not reflect equity, benefits or variable pay where applicable. Actual base salaries are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications and specific work location.
