Job Description

Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking Bartender - Crenshaw Bar & Eatery for the beautiful new Barton Creek Resort & Spa!

This team member will ensure that all food and beverage service for functions in the banquet department of the hotel are served on time and that all of Omni's professional standards are upheld.



Responsibilities

    Observe and adhere to all liquor liability laws
  • Have excellent working knowledge of liquors, beers and wines
  • Requisition and restock bar with all essential products and equipment
  • Properly setup and breakdown of bar area and service station
  • Serve properly mixed and proportioned drinks, in a timely manner, to guests and servers
  • Monitor the intake of alcohol of guests, prohibiting sale of alcohol to those who are intoxicated
  • Check identification of guests ensuring alcohol is being served only to those patrons of legal drinking age
  • Communicate with guests and respond to feedback in a positive manner, resolving any service issues


Qualifications

  • Must have and maintain current Texas Food Handlers and TABC certifications.
  • 1 year bartending experience required. Prior server experience preferred.
  • Comprehensive wine, liquor and beer knowledge required.
  • Must agree and adhere to compensation acknowledgment and tip reporting guidelines.
  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, members, management and co-workers, both in person and by telephone.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and multi task.
  • Must be able to work flexible shift including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift.
  • Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects of moderate weight without assistance.

Working Environment:

  • Interior of restaurant kitchen and designated bar area, with occasional travel around resort property as needed.
  • Exposure to various hazardous chemicals.
  • Exposure to food items and beverages.

Tools & Equipment:

  • MICROS computer and card, telephone, wine key
