The Rheumatology Clinic Supervisor is responsible for supervising staff and managing the day-to-day operations of assigned clinic departments, ensuring excellent patient service and delivery of care.

This is a full-time position working daytime hours out of our Woodbury clinic. This role will also require additional travel to other clinic locations that offer Rheumatology services.

Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare. Essential Functions:

  • Effectively recruit, on-board, train, supervise, and retain Clinical Care Coordinators, RN's and Lab employees
  • Responsible for the coordination of the weekly schedule for appropriate staff coverage
  • Manage Lab workflow, policy and best practices coordination with lab leaders
  • Ensure staff are cross trained in roles of Lab and Clinical Care Coordinator
  • Operate as a liaison between management and clinic staff to ensure quality and efficiency of patient service. Specifically this includes communication and collaboration with infusion nurses, care coordinators and regional supervisors and leaders. This may also include meeting one-on-one with managers and/or staff to assess, educate, and review data on quality, service, teamwork, and integrity relating to the work of clinic staff members.
  • Conduct frequent, timely, and appropriate communications with employees through meetings and one-on-one sessions; actively participate in meetings and other communications processes; share information timely, accurately and completely with others, as needed
  • Conduct site visits to locations where rheumatology and lab services are offered
  • Conduct annual reviews of direct reports, including determination of any relevant compensation adjustments
  • Complete all payroll processes as needed in HRIS, including leave of absences, time off requests, job changes, department transfers, terminations, etc.
  • Occasionally participate in community functions relating to TCO outreach events throughout the year.
  • Any and all other duties as assigned


Education and Experience Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in related field or applicable experience
  • Minimum of 1 year supervisory/leadership experience. Healthcare setting preferred.
  • Experience with phlebotomy preferred
  • Working knowledge of all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines

  • Travel independently throughout the clinic (which may include movement from floor to floor); frequent bending, lifting, standing, stooping or sitting for long periods of time may be required
  • Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately and meet deadlines
  • Communicate and interact in a respectful and professional manner
  • Prioritize workload while being flexible to meet the expectations of the daily operations
  • Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Understand and execute a variety of instructions
  • Effectively operate equipment and communicate on and operate the phone system
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Travel to other work locations, if required
