Add to favorites Favorited View favorites Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $48,600 - Midpoint: $60,800 (Salaried E7) Department/Organization: 214231 - Civil Const and Env Engineering Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm Job Summary: The Postdoctoral Fellow provides for an internship and continuation of scholarly activity and research after achieving the PhD or other doctoral degree under the direction of a senior faculty member who serves as a mentor for the postdoctoral appointee. Additional Department Summary: The Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering Department at The University of Alabama is seeking candidates for a Postdoctoral position. This position is available to individuals with research interests and expertise in modeling and data analyses of hydrologic processes. Required Minimum Qualifications: Doctorate. Additional qualifications based on assignment. Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. or other terminal degree in terminal degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, hydrology, ecology, geosciences, computer science, applied mathematics, data analytics, or related fields at the start date. Skills and Knowledge: Modeling and Data analytics experiences are required for developing simulation codes and for conducting data analysis. The candidate should have: a) Superlative ability to articulate research objectives and hypotheses, and ability to work as part of a team. b) Excellent analytical ability and in-depth experience with at least one programming language. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with numerical modeling and/or data analytics with big data. Broad knowledge of hydrology.
