Occupational Therapist - AK PHS HHCS at Providence In Home Services

Schedule: Full Time, Day Shift

Location: Anchorage, AK area (including Peter's Creek and Girdwood)

Job description:

Occupational Therapists develop, coordinate and maintain therapeutic services and activities alongside an interdisciplinary team to help patients in need successfully maintain or improve their level of independence.

Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates occupational therapy services within the guidelines established by the American Occupational Therapy Association. Daily therapy is performed under the order of a physician licensed in the State of Alaska.

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree or Ph.D. in Occupational Therapy
  • Upon hire: Alaska Occupational Therapist License
  • Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • 2 years Experience in subspecialty

About the Team

Providence Home and Community Care (HCC) is a service line within Providence with over 8,000 caregivers and 2,000 volunteers serving nearly 200,000 people a year, in their homes, in clinics and in a variety of congregate living ministries across our seven-state footprint.

HCC provides a full range of services and support for people of all ages, especially those facing chronic or life-limiting illnesses. Our core competencies include restorative care, longitudinal care and care through the end of life. Our service lines include assisted living/skilled nursing/rehabilitation, home health, home infusion/pharmacy services, home medical equipment, hospice and palliative care, Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), personal home services/private duty care and supportive housing.
