Job Profile Summary:

The Enterprise Architect - Data & AI is responsible for designing and implementing scalable data architectures and AI solutions across Azure cloud and on-prem environments. This role focuses on ensuring that data platforms and AI models are integrated seamlessly into the organization's technology stack, while fostering a culture of reusability, scalability, and innovation. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in both cloud-native and legacy data systems, with a proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and deliver data-driven solutions that meet business needs.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data architectures that support the deployment of AI models, ensuring scalability, security, and performance across both Azure cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Drive the integration of AI solutions with existing data infrastructures, ensuring seamless compatibility between legacy systems and modern cloud-native platforms.
  • Lead efforts to modernize data systems, transitioning from on-prem legacy architectures to cloud-native data lakes, warehouses, and advanced analytics platforms.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure that AI models and data platforms are aligned with business goals and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Foster a product engineering mindset within the data architecture teams, ensuring that data solutions are built with reusability, flexibility, and scalability in mind.
  • Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance, ensuring that all data architectures meet regulatory requirements and protect sensitive information.
  • Oversee the integration of DevOps practices into data pipelines and AI solution deployment, ensuring automation, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the organization's data ecosystem.
  • Communicate complex technical architectures and AI strategies to senior leadership, ensuring alignment with the broader enterprise architecture and business objectives.

Skills Profile:

  • Technologies: Expertise in Azure services, Databricks, relational databases, document stores, key value stores, streaming and messaging systems, Lakehouse architecture, data warehouses, ETL pipelines, and AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
  • Cloud Expertise: Strong experience with Azure cloud-based data architectures, including data storage, processing, and AI integration.
  • On-Prem Expertise: Proven experience modernizing legacy data systems such as JMS, DB2 and Oracle, with a focus on transitioning to cloud-native data platforms.
  • AI/ML Integration: Deep knowledge of integrating AI models into existing data infrastructures and deploying them across hybrid environments.
  • Data Governance and Security: Expertise in data governance, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and implementing robust security practices across both cloud and on-prem environments.
  • DevOps for Data: Experience integrating DevOps practices into data pipelines, ensuring automation, efficiency, and continuous delivery of data-driven solutions.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for decisions/priorities regarding the overall enterprise's architecture.
  • Translate business needs into architectural solutions (current and target state) and defining solutions to problems through application of information technology.
  • Facilitate the establishment and implementation of standards/guidelines that direct integration of multiple platforms.
  • Develop/document the framework for integration/implementation for changes to architectural standards.
  • Determine architecture solutions that meet performance, scalability, reliability and security needs.
  • Provide technical guidance to project team.
  • Coach the development of Jr. IT architects
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems and/or equivalent formal training.

Minimum Experience

Five (5) years equivalent work experience in information technology or engineering environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to apply basic computer concepts, theories, principles and methods to projects, business problems, issues, and/or questions.

Strong communication skills.

Sr Enterprise Architect- Data and AI

Job Profile Summary

Lead long range planning for the structure/interaction between the business strategy, organization, and business, application, data and technical architectures.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree, in computer science, engineering, information systems and/or equivalent formal.

Minimum Experience

Five (5) years equivalent work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirement.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of project planning, technical architecture, and business strategy. Excellent communication skills.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems and/or equivalent formal training.

Minimum Experience

Five (5) years equivalent work experience in information technology or engineering environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to apply basic computer concepts, theories, principles and methods to projects, business problems, issues, and/or questions.

Strong communication skills.

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
