Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Assistant Account Manager/ Account Program Analyst/Analyst (FVL)for the RTES, supporting the Army Division. Assistant Account Managers/Analysts are critical members of the test management team who assist the Government Account Manager manage the cost, schedule, and budget of test programs thereby enabling the engineers to focus on their respective specialties. Assistant Account Managers/Analysts responsibilities for RTC programs and projects are crucial to keeping the entire portfolio funded, documented, and properly reported to RTC leadership and to U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command.

LOCATION: Redstone Test Center in the U.S. Army Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL

JOB STATUS: Full Time

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in a technical, science or business discipline from an accredited college/university and 3 years of experience in one of the following areas, as related to the respective job required: Communication, Logistics, Operations, Finance, Personnel/Human Resource Management, Program Management, Process Improvement, Safety, Security, and Environmental specialties. Or:
    • Associate's Degree and 5 years of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area; or 7 years of experience performing the job duties in the assigned specialty area;
    • 7 years of military training in the assigned specialty area, or a combination thereof. Additional specialization requirements - 2 years of the required experience must include experience coordinating projects; collecting data, reviewing technical documents compiling statistics and data for projects; writing narratives, managing the execution of inspection programs, creating, monitoring, and maintaining audit files for program compliance.
  • Degree dependent, please see education requirements above. Bachelors degree preferred, but not required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants)
  • Prefer 3-5 years' experience coordinating projects; reviewing technical documents; compiling statistics and data for projects; developing integrated schedules; writing narratives. Professional user of Microsoft Office, Project 2007/13, and Sharepoint.
  • Good communicator, both orally and verbally. Army aviation and/or MIL-STD-810 experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of government funding a plus.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Experience with aviation, aviation technologies, missile or rocket systems, or sensors knowledge of different types of government funding are pluses.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • As a part of the test management team, Assistant Account Managers/ Account Program Analysts/Analysts take program direction from the Test Program Integration Directorate and assists in coordination of the planning, management, and oversight of Test and Evaluation (T&E) activities for their programs and projects within the RTC.
  • The Account Program Analyst creates, monitors and maintains the programs integrated master schedule, workload projection report and financial execution report. T
  • The Account Program Analyst reviews and edits proposals for grammar and format and assists Test Engineers and Test Coordinators with bottom-up cost estimation and creating detailed cost and schedule proposals.
  • Assists with customer communication and documentation of scope changes and amended project proposals.
  • Provides key input for program management reviews and may represent the account at Customer Business Reviews.
  • An Assistant Account Manager/ Account Program Analyst/Analyst is required for the Future Vertical Lift account to ensure TPID is tracking all active projects and verifying divisions meet critical customer milestones, as well as, ensure constant customer contact with the large and diverse number of PM Offices that fall under this account.
  • Monitors project status; provides key input for PMRs; develop proposals and support agreements; supports project retirement & metrics; enables RTC to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals IAW RTC Supplement to 73-1.
  • You will assist the Account Manager with maintaining oversight on high priority and high visibility Army Modernization CFT efforts within RTC, including Future Vertical Lift, Assured Position Navigation and Timing (APNT), and Solider Lethality.
  • Many CFT PM Offices are newly created and require extensive customer contact and require above average meeting attendance.
  • Supports the Account Manager to develop an integrated account strategy, coordinates internal communication between RTC divisions and external communication with account customer offices, monitor and track program activities from initiation through retirement.
