Department:ICE | PTSL Pharmacy Technicians OP CDepartment's Website: Summary of Job Duties:This posting will fill multiple positions:Under the direct supervision of the Department Business Administrator, the Pharmacy Technician (Patient Assistance Coordinator) will have responsibility for coordinating the pharmacy's financial assistance programs, with a primary focus on infusion drug assistance. The employee in this position must demonstrate special skills, knowledge, and task completion not required by the other pharmacy technicians. The programs to be coordinated and monitored include, but are not limited to, Infusion drug assistance, PAPs (free drug), MAP (Medication Assistance Program), and AKDC (Arkansas Kidney Disease Commission). This position will support operations ensuring patients receive the lowest out of pocket expense possible utilizing assistance from various programs and manufacturers. This includes, but is not limited to, researching data, working with Outpatient clinic staff, connecting patients with appropriate assistance, assisting in applications, processing prescriptions, communicating with billing, and patient follow up. The Pharmacy Technician will work with pharmacy leadership to maintain and improve program workflows and expansion. In addition to these duties, they may perform the duties of the Pharmacy Technician I/II/III/IV, including assisting the pharmacists in day-to-day operations, patient outreach, medication delivery and other facets of patient care. The Pharmacy Technician will prioritize work based on immediate need and rapidly changing workload. They will work as a team member to perform day-to-day work efficiently and accurately, along with any additional tasks or projects to help achieve departmental goals.
