Summary As a Grid and Market Settlements Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of energy market settlements within the California ISO. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex data analysis, collaborate with external partners, and contribute to critical financial processes that support the energy market. You'll be responsible for identifying trends, resolving discrepancies, and driving improvements in settlement practices. We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical professional with a deep understanding of energy markets and settlement processes. Competencies Functional Competencies (Grid & Market Operations Analyst/ Senior Grid & Market Operations Analyst): Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of electric bulk power generation, transmission, and operating systems. Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of the electric utility industry and electric energy markets, including trading, scheduling procedures, state and federal policies and regulations, and underlying physical infrastructure and networks. Intermediate/Advanced skills in statistical and numerical analysis. Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of grid reliability requirements and operations. Intermediate/Advanced skills in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other analytics programs. Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of programming languages such as VB/VBA, C, Perl, Matlab, Mathematica, Python, Java, and SQL. Schedule/Attendance: Ability to adhere to pre-established schedule, including start/stop time and break/lunch schedule. Ability to work long hours. Ability to work a variable schedule. Physical Capabilities: Driving/travel/commute: Daily within service territory - Occasionally (one to two times a month or less). However, these arrangements may change due to business needs or changes in responsibility.Employees should live within 75 miles of their designated work location. Compensation Range: $87,225.00 - $173,875.00Actual total compensation, including a performance based incentive bonus, is commensurate with experience, skills, qualifications, education, training, and internal equity. While we anticipate the selected candidate for this position will fall towards the middle or entry point of the compensation range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis.
