Job Summary

The HRIS Analyst will play a pivotal role within the HRIS division supporting the strategic planning, implementation, and maintenance of our HR information systems. The HRIS Analyst will assist with automation systems planning, manage complex programs and databases, provide technical support, and ensure the security and integrity of our information systems and HR technology applications. This is a key role that bridges the gap between our technical systems and functional HR operations by staying current with technology trends in HRIS delivery and support and applies this knowledge to streamline HR processes and service delivery to Loudoun County Government. The HRIS Analyst will serve as a backup to the HR Systems Administrator.



What You'll Do
  • HRIS Administration & Maintenance: Keep our HR systems running smoothly by overseeing day-to-day operations, performing regular updates, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring user satisfaction. Collaborate with IT for advanced technical needs and contribute to system testing and security management.
  • System Implementation & Enhancements: Be a key player in rolling out new HR technology and updates. Work with vendors and teams to integrate systems seamlessly, recommend improvements, and test new features before launch.
  • Data Management: Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the HRIS. Create insightful reports to support decision-making and resolve discrepancies. Handle complex data uploads with precision.
  • User Support & Training: Empower users with expert support and comprehensive training. Develop engaging guides, resources, and documentation to maximize system adoption and ease of use.
  • Compliance & Security: Safeguard sensitive HR data by maintaining strict security protocols, user profiles, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Project Management: Lead and contribute to impactful projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals. Collaborate across teams, manage deliverables, and keep stakeholders informed.

Loudoun County offers a competitive salary and benefits package to include health, dental, VRS (retirement), annual, personal, and sick leave.

Hiring Salary: Commensurate with experience.

This position is eligible for telework, currently two days a week, in accordance with the County's Telework Policy.

Minimum Qualifications

We're looking for a candidate with a combination of education and experience that includes:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or a related field.
  • At least three (3) years of hands-on experience in computer technology, programming, system design, development, database management, or system administration-experience in a government environment is a plus.

Preferred Skills and Certifications:

  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms such as Oracle, SAP, Workday, or similar systems.
  • A strong understanding of HR processes and best practices, including talent management, benefits administration, and performance management.
  • Professional IT or HR certifications are highly desirable.

This position is an FLSA Exempt position and may be required to work beyond the normal workweek. Some travel may be required.
