We are looking for a passionate, collaborative marketing professional to bring their launch and rare disease skills to a complex and difficult to treat category. As an integral member of the Rare Renal consumer team, we will do everything in our power to live up to our mission of defying limitation so that others can too. This highly visible position has been designed for an experienced marketer who will take on the responsibility of executing pre and post launch integrated marketing initiatives. You will report to the Director of Consumer Marketing-Rare Renal.

This position can be based in Princeton, New Jersey or Remote. Otsuka maintains a hybrid work policy and travel is expected 30% of the time based on business needs.

Job Description

  • This position will operate in a cross-functional environment, focused on operational planning for a new product launch.

  • Manage and represent the brand on multiple internal and external functional groups to drive the completion of projects in a timely fashion and within budget. Must be able to collaborate with functions such as: market research, project management, insights & analytics, patient support, HCP marketing, advocacy, corporate communications, and finance.

  • Play a lead role in the development and execution of tactical plan. Manage and collaborate with external agencies and extended team members to ensure alignment of marketing tactics with Consumer brand strategy.

  • Coordinate and participate in the brand planning process and market research activities. Align on patient engagement strategy, identify and manage cross-functional dependencies, and help prepare clear and concise presentations to commercial leadership.

  • Act as a champion for innovation in the creation of direct-to-patient tactics, Push agency partners to develop exceptional creative and patient-first messaging & language strategy.

  • Adopt a "Design-Thinking" methodology to ensure the best patient experience. Employ Omnichannel engagement approach in the selection of channels and promo mix.

  • Establish a feedback-loop to continuously monitor performance of all tactics, allowing for optimization of promotional mix, and quickly pivot when necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related business discipline

  • Minimum of 6 years working within a bio/pharma company focused on marketing

  • Experience working with Patient Support teams to design and deploy white-glove Patient Services Programs.

  • Experience in translating patient insights into impactful consumer promotional tactics.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven track record of launching rare disease brands with specific marketing responsibilities for consumer/patient.

  • Strong grasp of marketing and engagement concepts that include Human Centered Design, Design Thinking, Omnichannel, and Patient Journey Mapping.

  • Proven track record of executing fully integrated digital campaigns for patients.

  • Strong leadership and emotional intelligence skills; capable of working through ambiguity and thriving in a fast, high-pressure environment.

  • Proven advanced analytical skills, project management, and financial acumen skills

  • Experience in nephrology and/or highly competitive therapeutic rare disease areas

  • Previous experience working in patient services or biotech sales

  • Market research, business intelligence skills, a plus

  • Strong knowledge of marketing technologies: Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Acquia/Drupal CMS, Snowflake, Veeva Vault for Digital Asset Management (DAM)
