The Financial Services Analyst 3 position involves the processing and servicing of a variety of operational, personnel, and financial transactions and services. Includes accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchasing, recharge billing, travel / entertainment, gift accounting, collections, data collection and data entry, analysis, contract and grant management, recharge core management, review and control, customer servicing, and reporting.
This Financial Services Administration position is for an experienced professional who knows how to apply theory and put it into practice with in-depth understanding of the professional field; independently performs the full range of responsibilities within the function; possesses broad job knowledge; analyzes problems / issues of diverse scope and determines solutions.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related area
- 3 years of experience with finance and accounting
- Experience working with university finance.
- Thorough knowledge of financial processes, policies and procedures.
- Thorough knowledge of financial data management and reporting systems.
- Strong proficiency in the use of spreadsheet and database software.
- Strong interpersonal skills, analytical skills, service orientation, active listening, critical thinking, attention to detail, ability to multi-task in a high volume environment, organizational skills, effective verbal and written communication skills, sound judgment and decision making; ability to develop original ideas to solve problems.
- Ability to function effectively as a member of a team.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources.
- Leadership skills to provide guidance, coaching and mentoring to professional and support staff.

- 2+ years independent level finance and accounting experience.
- 3 years experience in finance and accounting with UC.

Department Overview
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is a large, diverse, multi-site department whose mission is to be scientific leaders who promote excellence through clinical diagnostics, next generation innovation, collaborative discovery and world class education in service to all communities. UC Davis is leading the way in diagnosing, treating, and ultimately preventing disease. Pathology brings these tools together with education and patient care to transform the field. Departmental academic operations are conducted within central administrative offices in various locations at the Medical Center in Sacramento and in research space on both the Sacramento and Davis campuses.
