Molnlycke Healthcare is hiring a Senior Manufacturing Engineer a dedicated individual responsible for the technical support and operation of complex, high-speed electro/mechanical production equipment. In this role, you will manage complex and competing projects, implement LEAN manufacturing principles, and mentor team members in designing and making improvements. A key aspect of this role involves a working knowledge of applicable regulations, machine shop experience, familiarity with controls & automation, chemical dispensing systems, robotic controls, and project management, with the ability to transfer that knowledge to others.

What skills help you stand out:



  • Ability to design/specify Controls Panel Systems in accordance with UL508A and NEC classifications.
  • PLC (Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Siemens,etc.) programming ability.SCADA software experience isa plus
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, highly technical environment.
  • Self-directed and disciplined working style.
  • Web handling equipment experience a plus.
  • Able to work with equipment automation control/system.
  • Understanding of maintenance and production KPI's, including but not limited to: OEE, MTBF, MTTR, and YLD preferred.
  • Understanding of Reliability Engineering methodologies (e.g. Root Cause Analysis, Failure Mode Effects Analysis, etc.).
  • LEAN manufacturing principles - Green or Black belt preferred.
  • Experience with inspections/audits by the FDA or similar regulatory agency preferred


Here's a snapshot of what you'll do:



  • Collaborate with specialists on new equipment design and implementation.
  • Manage and participate in design reviews for project implementation.
  • Anticipate problems and engineer robust, cost-effective solutions.
  • Communicate on a periodic basis to company stakeholders - On Track & On Target
  • Lead discussions and decision making with internal teams and equipment suppliers.
  • Support daily operations of production processes and equipment.
  • Develop preventative maintenance procedures to avoid equipment failures.
  • Accurately complete transactions within SAP and other IT systems.
  • Create and/or improve training documentation for the Engineering and Maintenance department.
  • Troubleshoot controls equipment to resolve malfunctions and failures.
  • Formulate yearly projects and assignments for the Engineering/Maintenance Department.
  • Foster a continuous improvement mindset for KPI improvement.


Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range for this role is $92,800 -$121,800 per year & an annual bonus

What You'll Need:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering preferred. Equivalent experience in design and manufacturing environments will be considered
  • 8+ plus years of system design and maintenance experience with specific proficiency demonstrated in in automation and machine risk assessment preferred.
  • Experience in a cGMP facilities department in an FDA-regulated industry is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; Fluent in Microsoft Office Software.
  • Safety - NEC, NFPA, LOTO, OSHA, UL, CE.
  • Familiar with clean room (class 8) protocol a plus.
