Tenure/Tenure-track Open Faculty Position in Neuroscience. The Department of Neuroscience at the University of Florida (UF) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank. The successful candidate is expected to develop an innovative research program that complements existing departmental faculty. Areas of particular interest include neurodegeneration, traumatic brain injury, neurovascular diseases, and cognitive and psychiatric vulnerabilities across the lifespan. We seek highly collaborative colleagues who will conduct outstanding, extramurally supported research, and who will contribute to our growing graduate programs.

Department of Neuroscience at University of Florida. The University of Florida is the flagship campus of the State of Florida University System. In 2023, the University of Florida was ranked #5 in public universities by the US News and World Report. The University of Florida Health Sciences Center is the country's only academic health center with six health-related colleges located on a single, contiguous campus. The Department of Neuroscience in the College of Medicine is the second-oldest neuroscience department in the country and ranks among the top 10 in NIH research funding. The Department offers a rich academic environment in molecular, cellular, and systems neuroscience. Excellent opportunities exist to collaborate with Ph.D. and physician-scientists through the McKnight Brain Institute and faculty in basic and clinical departments in the College of Medicine and across campus.
