About This Opportunity

JOB TITLE: Regional EHS Manager - Southern, Wisconsin
POSITION TYPE: Full time
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

The Regional Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) Manager position supports the Director of EHS, and Foremost Farms USA company initiatives for risk reduction, injury prevention, and EHS regulatory compliance. This position is responsible for providing functional support in occupational (people) safety to our network of processing plants. Partnering with the Plant Operations Teams to assess the effectiveness of safety and security policy/protocol efforts with implementation/execution of safety and health standards regionally at multiple facility locations for continuous improvement. Key to success is the ability to build trust and confidence with the Operations team and help lead change, in accordance with regulatory standards and company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:



  • Guide the development, training, and execution of Foremost Farms EHS programs including Life Safety Processes, Injury prevention processes, Illness prevention processes, and Environmental continuous improvement projects.
  • Provide visibility of manufacturing plant Safety issues, progress, and performance.
  • Conduct or assist with internal and external EHS audits with benchmark scores to ensure the execution of company policies.
  • Set and manage the budget for recruiting department and related activities and reevaluate on an ongoing basis.
  • Assist facility management teams with technical support regarding EHS incident investigations such as root cause investigations, corrective & preventative measures.
  • Determine OSHA recordability or EHS external reporting requirements.
  • Partner with third party EHS stakeholders for risk mitigation efforts to people, property, and the environment.
  • Work with process safety mechanical contractors to ensure continuous improvement with mechanical integrity and compliance with PSM.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety or related field, or other technical degree.
  • 5 years of experience in Occupational Safety/EHS.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing Safety/EHS in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing multiple manufacturing sites.
  • Experience working in the food / dairy industry.


Physical Setting

Job Setting: Position is a regional role supporting 4 manufacturing plants with overall travel to plants and corporate office up to 50%. Occasional travel will be required across the enterprise (8 plants) for special projects. This position can be based in the corporate office, a plant location, with some occasional working from home flexibility.
